Ugh, Beauty...
13:28Does anyone think about what we are going to leave to future generations? Because I’m always thinking about that when taking a walk, with all those ugly rectangular houses without any elements that catch our eyes. They are like a giant square box placed on the sidewalk, with people living in it. People who, by the way, hate plants for their leaves and flowers that fall onto the floor.
Here in my street, there is a building where there was the most beautiful tree with a yellow and white flower. And they tore down the tree because the sidewalk was always full of flowers that kept falling. Certainly a group of middle-aged women with nothing to do with their pathetic lives got together to approve such a nonsense. God forbid another heat wave strike because we are killing all the city’s flora, but at least the sidewalk of the building they live in is now free of dead flowers.
And what about good books, music and movies? Where are all the gorgeous people that used to be the stars? Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Diane Kruger? No, no, society is much better now that Netflix released the remake of One Day with a woman who looks nothing like Anne Hathaway - we shouldn’t dare to be attractive, it would be a disrespect like no other.
